Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-15
Draft. This page is placeholder copy and is not legally binding until reviewed by qualified counsel. Don't link to it from production marketing until that review is complete.

1. Who we are

Sortida (operated by Sortida SRL, registered in Bucharest, Romania) runs the application you're using — a discovery feed, planning tool, and ticketing marketplace for nightlife in Bucharest. When this document says "we" or "Sortida", we mean Sortida SRL. When it says "you", we mean you, the person using the service.

2. Your account

You need an account to RSVP, save events, create plans, or buy tickets. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private and for everything that happens under your account. If you lose access, use the password reset flow or write to support@sortida.app.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sortida. Many of the venues and events listed are 18+ regardless of the platform's own rules.

3. Buying tickets

Tickets purchased through Sortida are sold by the venue or organiser (the "Partner") that listed the event. Sortida acts as the technology provider and payment facilitator (via Stripe Connect). Each ticket is a contract between you and the Partner, not between you and Sortida.

Sortida charges a platform fee on each paid ticket (currently 8% of the ticket price). The fee is included in the price you see; the Partner receives the rest minus Stripe's processing fees.

Refunds are subject to the Partner's refund policy. You can request a refund from inside the ticket detail page; a human reviews each request. Tickets that have been used (checked in at the door) are not refundable.

4. What you may not do

Don't use Sortida to: harass other users; post content that is illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit; resell tickets above their face value; abuse promo codes; impersonate someone else; scrape data; or attempt to break the security of the service.

We can suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules. Egregious violations may be reported to the relevant authorities.

5. Content you post

When you create a plan, write a review, or upload an avatar, you keep ownership of that content. You give us a licence to display it within Sortida so the service can work (e.g. showing your plan to invited friends, showing your review on a venue page). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

6. Liability

Sortida is a discovery and booking platform. We don't operate the venues or run the events ourselves. The Partner is responsible for the event experience — admission, safety, sound, cancellation, and so on. Sortida is liable to you only for direct damages caused by our own negligence, up to a maximum of the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced inside the app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using Sortida after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.

8. Law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes go to the courts of Bucharest, unless a mandatory consumer-protection rule says otherwise.
